Amigurumi Commissions

Breeds

I will try to tailor your commission to more accurately represent your pet’s breed if it has certain traits/features/anatomy. Please keep in mind these commissions are not meant to be hyper realistic, but more simplified versions of your pets. 

 

Markings

Each amigurumi is tailored to look like your pet to the best of my abilities. For best results please send photos of your pet from as many different angles as possible, including a profile view, especially with any specific markings they have so I can incorporate them into your amigurumi. Also, please send me full body photos of your pet if you are able to, or make sure all photos included cover all parts of your pet’s body so I can make sure I also have their anatomy correct. If your pet is all one color, then not all angles are necessary as long as I have some full body pictures if possible for anatomy sake.

Some patterns, like spots and stripes, I will do my best to get as accurate as possible, but please keep in mind it may not come out 100% accurate to your pet. For example: A Dalmatian with many spots- I most likely will not get every spot, nor will I put each spot exactly where they reside on your pet if they have an overwhelming amount of them. With this in mind, I will do my best to make bigger marks/spots more accurate if they are more prominent or well defined on your pet. If your pet doesn’t have as many markings, I will do my best to place them as accurately as possible. If you are concerned about certain markings being accurate, feel free to let me know.

 

Colors 

Please keep in mind that yarn colors can be limited. Because of this I may not be able to find the exact color of your pet, but I do my best to match the colors as closely as possible. To help me determine your pet’s color(s), it is best if the photos you send are taken in natural lighting. Computer and phone screens will also show slightly different colors. This is important to keep in mind while we are trying to match the yarn colors to your pet’s color(s). 

 

Customization Options

You will have a few options to choose from on how you want certain aspects of your commission to look.

Pose: You may choose between four different options I offer when it comes to the pet’s pose or style. You can have your pet Lying down, Sitting, Standing, or “Floppy”. Floppy pets are less detailed, smaller, and proportions are not accurate. Because of these traits Floppy pets are cheaper than the other options. Examples of all of these poses can be found above.

Furry or not: If you would like, I can create a “furry” texture to your amigurumi piece, but this does come at an increased cost due to the extra work needed to do this. If you get a furry texture please do not tug/pull on the fiber. Due to the nature of how the furry texture is achieved by brushing yarn, the fiber strength is lowered. Handling and petting your amigurumi piece is perfectly okay! An example of what this looks like is above.

Eyes: All amigurumi poses come standard with needle felted eyes, except for Floppys (“Floppys” explained in the “Pose” section above). This allows for color to be used and creates a more detailed look. For Floppys the eyes come standard with black plastic eyes. If you want your Floppy amigurumi to have needle felted eyes, they will not be as detailed as the other poses.

Size: All amigurumis made will come in their “standard” size, unless asked for otherwise. I can make your commission bigger than the standard pattern, but not smaller. If you would like something smaller, consider the Floppy option explained in the “Pose” section. If you want a bigger amigurumi this will be charged at a higher rate. Sizes will vary due to several factors like body type, yarn used, etc.

 

Price

The price of your commission will vary depending upon the “Customization Options” explained above, and the complexity of the pet(s). Prices posted on my website are only the base cost, but can increase depending on these factors. For example: a solid colored dog would cost less than a dog with markings all over its body as this takes longer to complete. If you would like an estimate feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help. All prices are in USD. All payments and invoices will be sent via PayPal in USD, no cryptocurrencies, as explained in my Terms of Service. Please be aware sales tax is not included in estimates or base prices. Payment plans can also be discussed for high priced commissions.

 

Turnaround Time

Turnaround time will vary depending on how many commissions I have at once, and size/complexity of the commission(s). Please note that I do have a full-time day job as well and do these commissions in my free time during the weekends only. If you have a deadline you need something by, please let me know. If you would like an estimated turnaround time, feel free to ask.

 

Allergens

If you have a cat or dog allergy, you may want to reconsider commissioning an amigurumi from me. I live with a cat and work with dogs, and even though I try my best to keep fur away from the yarn, this can be difficult when owning pets. I will not be responsible for any allergic reactions if you still get a pet from me despite having allergies. 

I use 100% Acrylic yarn, wool roving for needle felting details, and Polyester Fiber fill for the stuffing.

 

Forms

Please read my Terms of Service before commissioning me, a link to this can be found above. After you have read the ToS, please fill out the “Amigurumi Pet/OC Commission Form”, also found above, with as much information as you can to make the process as smooth as possible. Once I receive your form I will contact you to let you know I have received it, and to discuss your commission. If you do not hear back from me after a few days, feel free to email me in case I did not get notified or it did not go through. 

 

Shipping

As of right now I am mostly shipping within the US. I would love to also ship internationally, though I do not know costs for everywhere else, so please contact me for a shipping estimate if you are outside the US.
Items will be shipped in a box via USPS. I generally ship packages by first-class mail. Please note the shipping price below is for one standard sized pet. If you are receiving more than one pet, and/or requested a larger pet, shipping costs may go up from the base price listed below.
Due to my day job’s and USPS’ hours, I am only able to ship things out on Mondays.

• First-Class mail within the US starting at $5.80, should arrive in 1-3 business days. This could change during the Holiday season or as the post office changes their prices!

All materials used for shipping (except for tape and labels) are either recycled materials and/or are recyclable!

 

Original Characters (OCs)

If you would like a custom amigurumi of an OC that is an animal, costs will be higher than those posted on my website if the animal and it’s pose has not been already made as this requires me to make a custom pattern for your commission. If the animal’s basic form is close to those already made (foxes are similar to dogs, for example), cost won’t rise too much as I can tweak already made patterns. Unusual/more unique animals will be an extra charge depending on complexity and size of said animal.
